Patriot Beverages in Littleton, MA is looking for a hands-on Plant Director, reporting to the General Manager located at CPF (a Pepsi bottler) in Ayer, MA. (See additional information about Patriot Beverages below.) This is a new position and will be primarily responsible for continued growth by leading, evaluating, and forecasting all efforts in operations, engineering, and quality departments. The Plant Director will supervise the Plant Manager who will oversee daily manufacturing operations. The Director, through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration,
Will evaluate productivity and efficiency, lead and motivate employees to maximize performance and ensure the various departments within the company maximize their efficiency and productivity.
The Director will also be responsible for streamlining manufacturing operations while meeting quality, regulatory and safety requirements. Will plan and execute special projects as identified. Must be able to prioritize projects and issues in a demanding environment and be able to ensure customer needs, budgetary requirements and strategic goals are met. Will participate in strategic planning and budgeting and oversee efficient financial management of manufacturing operations departments.
The successful candidate must utilize analytical and problem-solving skills and be a logic-based thinker to make sound decisions, must be able to facilitate accelerated development of staff to ensure long-term success. Will be responsible for driving continuous improvement culture, developing succession plans, and building people capability.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree (Technical/Engineering degree preferred), 8+ years’ experience in leadership/management and 5+ years’ experience working in a lean manufacturing environment, consumer-packaged goods industry preferred.
