Position Overview :
Th e HR Generalist is a key member of the HR team and handles important responsibilities vital to the team's success. The HR Generalist role is 75 % recruiting and 25 % general H R support.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Assist Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition and Retention with interview scheduling, candidate relationship management, reference checks and employment verifications (post hire)
Assist with assigned job postings to: Dayforce internal career post, external NAM Career Center post, Linked-In, Glassdoor, Indeed, DiversityJobs.com, Handshake and other advertising sites as specified in the hiring manager strategic intake meeting
Provide back-up on DayForce for creating offer letters, offer approvals, and new hire into the system- note position is not authorized to make offers of employment but may prepare offer materials
Obtain office/workstation assignment from the Chief Inclusion + People Strategy Officer and work with COOP team to prepare workstation/office set up for new employees where employee is HQ based
Manage the internal notification process for new hire set-up and terminations- i.e. prepare and post IT Notifications to New Employee and Changes Team account, and Term Accounts Team account
Prepare new hire intranet announcements, obtain hiring manager approval, and post to the NAM intranet no later than 5 days before the new hire starts
Prepare term employee intranet announcements obtaining Chief Inclusion + People Strategy Officer approval, and post no later than a week before employee's last day
Work with IT to obtain to issue new employee equipment and ship if needed and for the return of terminating employee equipment, keys and other NAM issued items, ensure all items are received in a timely manner
Assist with closing out career center/advertising position listings as soon as candidate no later than one day after candidate is confirmed to have accepted the position
Attend career fairs and manage internship recruitment process
Assist with execution of employee recognition, social, and wellness programs as needed
Send and track responses for new hires and hiring manager needs/satisfaction surveys within one month of hiring for positions; prepare summary of data on a quarterly basis with recommendations for changes/improvements, present to HR team for discussion and action planning
Assist with compensation surveys as assigned
Assist with preparation for HBDI debrief sessions including room reservation and set up, catering, AV/ and PowerPoint and other meeting logistics
Assist with preparation for leadership team meetings to include name tents with employee HBDI profile, room set up, meeting materials/agenda, AV and PowerPoint
Cover front desk operations when needed

Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience in human resources
M inimum of two years of experience in HR, recruiting, or related field
Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite
Working knowledge of a recruiting ATS system
Excellent communication and writing skills, needs to be proficient in drafting public announcements, job postings, executive summaries of survey results, etc. A bility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
