Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Institute (“MI”) Associate, Development and Program Support is responsible for supporting the MI program leads in developing, executing and tracking the success of the MI’s initiatives and programs. The Associate, Development and Program Support, is an integral part of the MI team as we seek to inspire, educate and empower the manufacturing workforce of today and tomorrow. A successful candidate will be someone that wants to work on creative solutions to the greatest workforce challenges facing U.S. manufacturers. A successful candidate will be joining a team of entrepreneurial problem-solvers managing projects and programs designed to attract and prepare the manufacturing workforce.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Works at the direction of the VP, Business Relations & Partnerships and in collaboration with MI program leads to develop, execute, track and report MI program and grant deliverables.
Collaborate with the VP, Business Relations & Partnerships on fundraising prospects research and development pipeline tracking.
Research grant and foundation prospects, including the drafting of proposals and grant concepts.
Works with VP, Strategic Engagement to support the creation and deployment of the STEP Women’s Initiative and our Diversity and Inclusion pillar, including creating content, agendas, invitations, presentations and other materials for the successful completion of program elements.
As needed assists MI Operations and the NAM’s Meetings Management Teams with registration and on-site support of conferences, roundtables, and other forums and meetings with stakeholders both onsite and offsite. Event support may require availability to attend off hours/weekends with advance notice and includes some research tasks.
Support the Senior Director of Youth Engagement with execution and deployment of National Manufacturing Day activities and other initiatives that are part of this portfolio including updating collateral materials and web-based resources and assisting with events to support the MI’s partner organizations
Coordinate communications with NAM Membership teams and MI partner organizations to keep them informed of our efforts and activities
Administrative support functions including email and calendar management, data entry, and website updates.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university preferred;
A minimum of four years related experience and/or training;
Prior association experience preferred;
Proficiency in Word for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint. Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and WordPress a bonus.
Must be well organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work well under pressure and able to manage workload to meet deadlines;
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, perform multiple tasks using various software applications
Strong editing and proofreading skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Excellent writing skills;
Team oriented and customer service focused with the ability to interact regularly with staff, executives, and other stakeholders.
