Job Title: Manager, Marketing Data and User Journeys

We are looking for a manager of marketing data and user journeys to oversee, translate and make recommendations based on the company’s many sources of data relevant to our digital marketing efforts, as well as help refine and execute our robust email marketing program. This candidate will be an audience growth hacker, providing strategic recommendations by documenting and visualizing multichannel marketing performance data, creating a more connected back-end environment, crafting user journeys with the goals of gaining users and increasing engagement, deploying sends within email marketing platform and managing new-to-the-marketing-ecosystem user lists in the CRM. The candidate will also have the know-how to create an integrated and best-in-class email marketing approach.
This position will oversee the effective setup and ongoing use of analytics systems to spot trends, document patterns and solve problems, as well as provide day-to-day email marketing support, ensuring optimizations are identified and executed. This role includes oversight of master brand and sub-brand digital properties’ performance metrics, including website, social media, email and app analytics, in addition to key performance indicators organization-wide and how datasets intersect. The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing digital analytics and business analysis, email marketing platforms, complex CRMs with detailed datasets and a strong track record of analyzing complex datasets to help organizations grow. This position reports to the senior director of marketing strategy and digital innovation.
Make an Impact in the Following Ways:
Oversee setup and performance of analytics systems to generate actionable insights, reports and presentations.
Monitor, compile and analyze performance data from multiple sources, including, but not limited to, our owned websites, apps, email marketing system, social media handles, SEO keyword research/trends, industry trends, CRM metrics, competitive research/metrics and business KPIs.
Execute email marketing for the NAM and its sub-brands, which can include calendar management, review and approval processes, segmentation and test setups and deployment.
Drive customer segmentation approach, identifying opportunistic audiences to convert within our CRM database.
Help set up and execute enterprise protocols that will optimize our analytics efforts.
Conduct quality assurance for tracking according to tagging protocols.
Create and execute automated email user journeys, monitoring, optimizing and deploying as needed.
Package information into readable, visually appealing dashboards.
Develop engaging, layman’s-terms presentations to report findings across the organization.
Provide audience growth, optimization and targeting recommendations to the marketing team.
Help establish growth benchmarks and KPIs.
Manage insights vendors, maintaining relationships and identifying new tools that could be helpful.
Ensure that best practices are applied to achieve standards of quality, efficiency and overall alignment of data.
Deep expertise in developing analytics reporting and data synthesis for a complex organization, demonstrated by a strong portfolio
Passionate, curious self-starter who pursues thorough data analysis to spot new marketing-related opportunities
Comfortable talking to all levels of an organization and explaining data (and business choices/options) in layman’s terms
Track record of working with internal partners from different departments to serve business objectives and provide consultative services
High attention to detail; someone who triple-checks work and is confident in the end analysis
Demonstrated success in driving audience growth through recommended optimizations/tests (in particular, website traffic, social media engagement, email marketing and database growth)
A proven track record of thriving in a changing work environment and adapting to new challenges/opportunities
Interest in modern business issues impacting the industry
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Education and Experience:
B.S./B.A. degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business analytics, business administration or a related field preferred
Four to six years managing marketing analytics
Advanced experience with Excel, Google Analytics, Tableau, native and aggregated social analytics platforms, email marketing platforms and data integration implementation
Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud, to create user journeys and compile data; demonstrated SQL expertise a plus
Experience working with content management systems, including WordPress
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
