The Brand Strategy division at the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is looking for a video lab manager to complement our talented team of designers, writers and artists. NAM is seeking an intrepid, skilled and innovative video production manager, shooter and editor to execute the NAM’s daily in-house video program. This is a chance to help tell stories, shape the brand DNA and design for the largest manufacturing association in the country, representing many of the most innovative and tech-leading companies in the world.
The ideal candidate has three to four years of experience in video shooting and editing; deep knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier and Final Cut; command of SD and HD formats and digital spot delivery methods, including encoding, transcoding and compressing; and a proven proficiency in editing web videos and creating motion effects.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED):
Conceive, script, film, produce and edit a range of videos tailored to and edited for maximum visibility on a variety of social media platforms and at NAM events.
Shoot NAM team and external contributors in the in-house video studio and in the field.
Perform video editing and animate graphics using Adobe After Effects and Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premiere.
Edit both short- and long-form videos from start to finish and create graphics for these videos.
Deliver all video and audio elements to technical requirements.
Contribute to creative solutions, design and execute motion graphics treatments.
Edit web videos and create motion effects.
Efficiently manage in-house shoot schedules, video project-related travel, external studio use and project logistics.
Manage external vendors on larger productions and oversee shoot scheduling, travel, script and storyboard input, location logistics, editing coordination and assistance, final product packaging and distribution.
Film, review, edit, package (when necessary) and archive all NAM event footage.
Film, review, edit, package (when necessary) and archive library of dynamic, engaging b-roll content.
Initiate and manage the maintenance of an efficient archiving platform for all NAM footage and images.
Produce, record and edit regular in-house video and podcast series.
Identify, assemble, operate and maintain optimal equipment for in-field, mobile, documentary-style video shoots as well as high-quality studio productions.

Proficiency in editing with Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro and/or Premiere in a sports, political firm, campaign, advertising agency or similar environment.
Knowledge of compositing digital files and elements.
Proficient in DSLR videography.
Working knowledge of lighting and sound design for both field and studio shoots.
Organized multi-tasker, self-motivated and quick problem solver who can work comfortably with multiple projects at different stages in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Possess solid presentation, listening and communication skills. Must be able to collaborate effectively with internal and external clients.
Possess interpersonal skills necessary to interview a variety of subjects on camera.
Ability to work with teammates for constructive feedback and creative input while offering solutions to problems that arise.
Proactive in bringing new technology, processes and techniques to the "creative table" to ensure maximum use of our in-house studio as well as shoots in the field.
Must be willing to travel.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, multi-media or broadcast journalism with three to four years of related professional experience or comparable experience. A background in politics, sports, trade association, advertising or non-profit subject matter is also preferred.
