This position is responsible for administrative, scheduling and logistical duties to the Senior Vice President for Policy and Government Relations and the Chief Operating Officer. It requires strong organizational, research and writing skills and the ability to work in a fast pace environment. The position will offer the opportunity to develop experience within the Association community, develop content knowledge and government relations skills.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Providing administrative support to the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer including, but not limited to, preparing letters, memos, briefs, expense reports, copying, filing, and answering telephones.
Managing the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer’s schedule.
Coordinating with meetings management to handle logistics, hospitality, and/or security arrangements for meetings attendees when needed.
Acting as front desk lunch break relief for a half hour each day coordinating schedules with the Receptionist/Human Resources Assistant.

Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Proficient in social media platforms
Demonstrated proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook), internet, Web 2.0 channels
Demonstrated research and data entry skills
Strong planning and organization skills including proven attention to detail and follow through
Motivated, reliable, positive attitude
Flexibility to work before or after hours occasionally when needed to meet deadlines
Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
Ability to handle pressure in a goal and deadline driven environment
Ability to work in a team environment and perform as a valuable member of the team
Bachelor’s degree in related field
1-2 years of experience in a campaign, congressional office, association or government environment.
