This position is part of the membership operations team and performs key research, data maintenance, lead qualification and telephone interviews to assist with market research process. Data and research provided by this position is a key part of how the NAM engages manufacturers in the advocacy, communications and workforce initiatives in order to recruit prospects and retain members.
Candidates for this position will learn transferable skills for growth in political advocacy and member engagement including identifying high potential audiences, demographic characteristics of potential advocates and donors, cold-call skills necessary in political fundraising and engagement, and individual ownership of special projects and programs. We’re looking for a candidate who wants to learn new skill sets and grow within the organization. Day to Day Responsibilities:
Research individual company’s demographic data and identify key contacts for advocacy engagement;
Conduct interviews with to verify information and gather unknown data through secondary research;
Maintain data integrity through regular updates and recommend improvements to streamline process.
Qualify incoming leads through research and data verification.
Perform analysis of targeted lists of companies to determine viability of engagement in recruitment, retention or advocacy efforts.
Manage special projects and team programs.

College degree (preferably in marketing, research methods, or political science);
Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for precision;

Clear speaking voice and good English skills;
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel a plus;
