Position Summary The Manufacturing Business Development Officer is responsible for driving CRF’s national small business lending strategy for the manufacturing industry. The business development officer will work to enhance CRF’s presence and recognition with a specific focus on food manufacturing, fabricated metal product manufacturing, machinery manufacturing, computer and electronic product manufacturing, and other related industries. This individual will work to enhance the growth of CRF’s small business lending, which originates both SBA 7(a) and other loan products. Some key responsibilities that are expected of a business development officer on a day-to-day basis include developing new opportunities, new business strategies, and relationships with business advisors, commercial real estate brokers, capital equipment providers, business incubators, targeted manufacturing businesses and other referral partnerships. The Business Development Officer joins our Small Business Lending team that includes the Vice President of Business Lending, two Regional Directors of Business Development, and a seven person credit and lending operation team. The position is responsible for the following functions: Business Development, Market Strategy and Execution, and Internal Knowledge Management. The successful candidate will serve as a self-starter, who is able to work independently in one of CRF’s target markets; guide the organization toward continuous improvement in meeting organizational goals and customer expectations; build and maintain relationships internally and externally; and collaborate with others to constantly adapt CRF’s business development strategy to changing customer needs.
Qualifications Education and Certification(s) ? Bachelor's degree required Experience ? Strong business development and strategic planning skills ? Minimum five years of experience in business lending with at least three years in origination with experience in credit underwriting and / or portfolio management highly desired ? One to five years of experience in a business development role with experience developing and managing relationships with business owners and strategic partners ? Direct knowledge of legal and operational aspects of Asset Based Lending ? Demonstrated experience related to manufacturing, such as lending to manufacturing businesses, advising manufacturing businesses, and/or leading a manufacturing business ? Experience working in a multi-locational organization
